Better Golf App, operated by Better Golf Group, LLC
Effective date: [01 01, 2026]  ·  Last updated: [06 11, 2026]

This Privacy Policy explains how Better Golf Group, LLC (“Better Golf,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Better Golf App and related services (the “App”).

The Better Golf App helps you improve your game by logging your rounds and shots, analyzing your performance with AI, and recommending targeted practice drills. We’ve written this policy to be as clear as we can about what that involves. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

01 Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information. When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and a password (or a sign-in identifier if you use Sign in with Apple).
  • Golf and performance data. The rounds, scores, shots, and statistics you log (for example tee shots, approaches, short game, putting, fairways hit, greens in regulation, and similar), along with your performance goals and the drills you complete.
  • Profile details. Optional information such as your handicap, home course, or preferences that help personalize the experience.
  • Coaching interactions. The prompts, questions, and messages you exchange with the App’s AI coaching features.
  • Communications. If you contact us for support or subscribe to our emails, we keep the information you provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and technical data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and similar technical details.
  • Usage and diagnostics. How you interact with features, along with crash logs and performance data that help us fix problems and improve the App.
  • Identifiers. Identifiers used to operate the App and, where applicable, to associate your data with your account.

Payment information

If you make a purchase or subscribe, payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. We may receive limited transaction information from Apple, such as confirmation of a purchase and your subscription status.

A note on data minimization. We aim to collect only what we need to run the App and help you improve. You can use much of the App without providing optional details.

02 How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App, including saving your rounds, shots, and statistics;
  • Generate AI-powered analysis, coaching, and personalized drill recommendations based on the data you log;
  • Personalize your experience and track your progress toward your goals;
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and (where you’ve opted in) marketing and educational content;
  • Understand how the App is used so we can improve features and performance;
  • Maintain the security of the App, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.

03 AI features and how they work

A core part of the Better Golf App is AI-powered coaching and analysis. To provide these features, the data you log and the messages you send to the AI coach are processed using artificial intelligence services, including a third-party AI provider, [Google Generative AI], that processes this information on our behalf to generate responses, analysis, and recommendations.

This third-party provider acts as our service provider: they process your information only to deliver the AI features to you and are not permitted to use it to train their own models for their own purposes or for any unrelated use, except as described in their own terms. We do not sell this information.

Your control. AI coaching is a core feature of the App. Where required, we will ask for your consent to process your data with these AI services, and you can choose not to use the AI features.

04 How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. Companies that perform services for us under contract, such as our AI provider (see Section 03), cloud hosting and database provider [hosting/backend provider, if any], email and marketing provider Flodesk, and analytics or diagnostics provider [analytics provider, if any]. These providers may access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect it.
  • Apple. The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, and purchases are processed by Apple. Apple’s handling of your information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
  • Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Any third party with whom we share user data is required to provide the same or equal protection of that data as set out in this policy.

05 Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. We also keep information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted to retain it.

06 Your choices and rights

Access, correction, and deletion

You can review and update much of your information directly in the App. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details in Section 10.

If you receive marketing emails from us, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. We may still send you non-marketing messages about your account or the service.
