It’s Time, Golf Fans!
The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here – Masters week! Augusta National is primed and ready for golf’s first major of the year, with the iconic tournament teeing off Thursday morning.
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler will be looking to slip on the green jacket for the third time in four years, but he’ll face stiff competition from a loaded field including Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, and Bryson DeChambeau.
When Does The Action Start?
The 2025 Masters gets underway Thursday, April 10th, with the honorary starters hitting the ceremonial first tee shots at 7:30 a.m. ET. The first competitive group tees off just ten minutes later at 7:40 a.m.
The tournament runs through Sunday, April 13th, when someone will slip on that coveted green jacket in Butler Cabin.

Must-Watch Groups
The Masters Committee has released the pairings for Thursday and Friday, with some absolutely mouthwatering groups to follow:
- Defending champ Scottie Scheffler is paired with Justin Thomas and amateur Jose Luis Ballester (10:15 a.m. Thursday)
- Rory McIlroy, still hunting that career Grand Slam, plays alongside Ludvig Åberg and Akshay Bhatia (1:12 p.m. Thursday)
- Bryson DeChambeau, Hideki Matsuyama, and Shane Lowry make for an intriguing threesome (1:23 p.m. Thursday)
- Former champions Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, and Bubba Watson are scattered throughout the field
- LIV Golf stars Jon Rahm, Cam Smith, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, and Sergio Garcia all return to Augusta National
No Tiger This Year
One notable absence this year is five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods, who continues to recover from surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon he underwent in March. This marks the first Masters Tiger has missed since 2017, and ends his impressive streak of 24 consecutive made cuts at Augusta
What To Watch For
The story lines are abundant this year: Can Scheffler continue his incredible run of dominance? Will Rory finally complete the career Grand Slam after multiple close calls at Augusta? Can any of the LIV Golf contingent (just 12 players in the field) make a splash? How will Augusta play after Hurricane Helene damaged parts of the property last fall?
From the pink dogwoods to the azaleas, from Amen Corner to the roars at 16, The Masters is truly unlike any other tournament in golf. Settle in, grab your pimento cheese sandwich, and enjoy the magic that only Augusta National can deliver.
